Shogun knocks out Te Huna in 1st round with one punch

The co-main event of UFC's Ultimate Fight Night 33 featured a lightheavyweight bout between Mauricio Rua and James Te Huna. 'Shogun' was coming off a disappointing loss to Chael Sonnen in August, but made his emphatic return with a quick knockout of Te Huna:

Blink at the wrong moment, and you could easily miss the punch that did James Te Huna in.

A short left hook from Mauricio Rua caught the Aussie coming in and sent him tumbling down, unconscious before he hit the mat. By the time referee John Sharp stepped in to stop it 63 seconds into the first round, the matter had clearly been settled.

Yes but can he stay consistent?  He looked good against Griffith, Machido and Liddel, but not so good against Jones, Alexander or even Sonnen

God damn that was a tight, quick hook. Also helped that Te Huna came in recklessly lol. Glad to see Shogun back in the win column.
