'TUF' winner Gastelum gets tough test in Rick Story

Kelvin Gastelum won the seventeenth season of the Ultimate Fighter and is 2-0 inside the UFC octagon since. Most TUF fighters take a slower road through the division and work their way up. Gastelum however will jump right into the top ten, should he earn a win in his next fight to tough veteran Rick Story

The fight was first reported on the Underground by user 'Gator Choke' who has a host for an NBC sports radio show in Phoenix, Arizona. The fight is reported to be at UFC 171 and it is likely to be a part of the main PPV card.

Should be a good fight. A little shocked they made this fight considering Story wanted a top 10 guy and Kelvin is only 1 fight removed from TUF.

Do not love this matchmaking. Kelvin is super young and Story is a MASSIVE step up for him, especially considering he was going to fight Court McGee (a much more sensible fight) before he got injured.I hope Kelvin can beat the odds but this reminds me too much of Miller/Oliveria or Fitch/Silva.

I hope you are right.  I had the same hopes for Uriah and he folded after the most impressive wins in TUF history. Rick is 16-7, so the 7-0 Kelvin should be okay
