White: Aldo not p4p king, just lays back

Despite a 23-1 record, seventeen fight win streak, and being undefeated in the WEC/UFC, Jose Aldo is not the pound for pound king, something UFC President Dana White attributes to his lack of finishing fights:

“The thing about Jose Aldo that drives me crazy is the kid has all the talent in the world,” White told ESPN.com. “He’s explosive, fast. He can do anything but he just lays back and doesn’t let anything go.

“When you talk about being the pound-for-pound best in the world, you can’t go five rounds with guys that it looks like you can defeat them in the second round. That’s what Aldo has a habit of doing.”

There's only 1 pfp "king" and there are multiple guys that nobody can beat. Obviously being unbeatable in your weight class isn't enough.

Protip: If you can beat the other person up because of your size advantage, you win anyway.   I'd love to see some little dude screaming at some big dude how he's on a pound for pound list in a disrespectful way and then the big dude going 'uh huh' and pounding the little dude into a pulp.   Pound for pound is hilarious.     I had a really tough budgie once.  The thing wasn't half a pound, but man what a spunky half a pound!  I taught it to speak and everything.   One night the cat got out of the basement and Duddly, being the pound for pound budgie that he was, taunted the escaped out of the basement, much heavier, cat, because Duddly was pound for pound the best budgie around at the time I guess.  I wasn't home.   So the cat killed it.  Slit its throat and killed it.     The cat was at least 30 times heavier, so would never be considered on a pound for pound list.   Duddly was just as dead though.  That fucking sucked that my cat didn't properly recognize pound for pound rankings, because Duddly clearly won by a mile.

Same argument against GSP.Here's the kicker...If these guys aren't p4p kings - how come nobody can beat them?If Dana is pissed with the results, make title fights have no rounds and no time limit.

This is what happens when guys start making money in the UFC. If you don't play it safe and you lose, you fall in the rankings. When you fall in the rankings, you are getting paid less money.

What he means to say is Aldo doesn't get him the PPV draw that others do. Does anyone know the estimated PPV numbers for this double championship fight?Being able to finish a guy in the second round but don't do it, is GSPs motto. He loved the numbers he brought in. Until he said he wanted a break the.n he turned on him like a prick.

Aldo has one of the best skill sets in MMA. I was very impressed with his defense and crisp, clean combos.Dana should start a tuff-man organization. It's his true calling.
