Cormier: Velasquez would beat up Jones

Earlier this week Jon Jones discussed potential super fights and said he would be more much interested in a super fight with heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez rather than middleweight champion Chris Weidman. However training partner of Velasquez, Daniel Cormier believes that would be a bad idea:

"If he (Jones) wants to go up to heavyweight, then he can go up there and get beat up by Cain. That's the only thing that's going to happen. There will never be a two belt type of thing because I don't think any of these guys will beat Velasquez."

Would rather see Cormier v cain....oh wait we never will because they both came up together as little kids in the same slum and fought their way out of poverty side by side, then went of to war and spent 3 years in the trenches together then Cain married Cormier's sister and Dan was best man at the wedding after which Cain gave Dan one of his kidneys.

Wow! Can't believe DC thinks his teammate would beat Jones. After all Jones has said about him I am shocked DC would say that. Lol at all the people who are so sure Jones would lose to Cain. You guys have no fucking clue what Jones would be like at HW. If Jones can maintain the same athleticism and cardio weighing in at 240 lbs, he would be a nightmare for anyone at HW.

Man, Cain would demolish Jones. The only type of fighter who can beat Cain is a sniper one punch knock out artist like JDS. And even then Cain beats him 9 times out of 10. Jones is no one punch sniper. The only thing Jones is snipin is Renaldo Snipes, if you catch my drift.

"use his speed advantage"where does this myth of him having a speed advantage come from? using your reach doesn't equal being quick. him catching people with elbows has more to do with his reach than his speed. I bet his reach to only his elbow is longer than most flyweights. I don't think people realize how much of an anomaly it is being 6'4'' with an 84'' reach.
