Uriah Hall so bullied as teen he contemplated suicide

Bullying led UFC middleweight Uriah Hall to start martial arts, which eventually led to a  career in mixed martial arts, but for the first time, Hall reveals to FOXSports.com that it got so bad he contemplated suicide.

"The bullying just got to a point where it's like, I gotta wake up tomorrow and look forward to this again?" said Hall. "I don't want to deal with this s---."

"I just didn'??t want to do it anymore, man."

Hall discussed an incident in which he was forced to flee a bus, bleeding.

"I got off the bus and I was about to kill this guy," said Hall. "I was going to get a gun, get a knife and stab this dude."

His youth influences Hall still. When he learned karate, he didn't want to hurt teammates.

"I would hit a guy hard and I'd be like, 'Are you alright, man? Sorry,'" Hall said.

And he never wants to do to his opponent in the cage what was done to him in his youth.

Would love to see him matched up against a cocky trash-talker who would bring that killer instinct out of him. Someone like a Koscheck or Diaz, but at MW obviously.Bisping maybe?! Damn, that'd be a KO I'd love to see happen lol.

It kinda sucks that to really succeed in MMA he has to turn off that nice guy part of him and be more of a sociopath. Don't get me wrong, he NEEDS to become more of a hardened "killer", there are rules and refs to stop the fight so it's not like he has to become a murderer. Just an observation that what makes a great person outside the ring can't be brought into a sport. Which sucks, as I stated initially.

He is improving. Saw glimpses of killer instinct in the Leben fight.

Ya, considering there are two direct quotes indicating suicidal contemplation.

He'd be a contender. He would benefit from a sport psychologist or some counseling.I totally get it. It's hard to pull the trigger sometimes.

Yeah, saw the article this morning and noted he was more homicidal than suicidal.
