In the second round of his fight Saturday night vs. Tyron Woodley, Carlos Condit took a low kick, and then collapsed to the mat holding his other knee. The ref quickly stepped in, and Woodley was awarded the victory.
A short time before, Condit had winced visibly during a takedown, and held his knee, indicating that the injury had occurred previously to the kick that eventually stopped it.
Condit went to the hospital with his longtime trainer Mike Winkeljohn, who texted MMAJunkie that doctors diagnosed a small meniscus tear and a possibly torn ACL.
Condit will get an MRI to make a more definitive diagnosis.
UFC interim welterweight has now won only one fight of his last four.
