Stout vs. Noons moved to welterweight bout

Despite both having fought their entire UFC/Strikeforce careers at lightweight, Sam Stout and KJ Noons have petitioned the UFC to move their bout Wednesday to welterweight:

Just one day before the TUF: Nations Finale fighters are set to hit the scale, Sam Stout and K.J. Noons have apparently decided to make life a little easier for themselves by agreeing not to drop an extra 15 pounds.

The bout was contractually signed at the fighters' usual weight of 155, but earlier today, the duo approached the UFC, requesting that the fight take place at the welterweight limit of 170 pounds instead. The promotion, along with the Quebec commission that is overseeing the event, approved the change.

I'm excited for the fight but I'm not a fan of moving it to WW.

Good god that looks delicious. I worked on a sport fishing boat with a guy from Jersey, he claimed everything was better there... even the women. We worked out of San Diego

I see Noons boxing Sam up, possibly even a TKO win. I like Stout a lot, but Noons stand up is on another level from Sam. IMO.

Neither of them are huge weight cutters and both are strikers, so probably just a gentlemens agreement. Knowing the way they fight, they both probably just want to be fresh and put on the best fight possible. FOTN anyone?

Stout vs Noons is gonna be awesome, particularly with them not all drained.

Que? Has either one missed the weight before? Weird... But should be a great fight nevertheless.
