Cormier vs. Henderson confirmed for UFC 173; winner no.1 contender

Daniel Cormier was successful in his debut in the light heavyweight division, but his next matchup will really test where he stands in the division as he faces the legendary Dan Henderson:

On Wednesday’s edition of ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” UFC president Dana White announced a light heavyweight shootout between Dan Henderson (pictured) and Daniel Cormier will co-headline UFC 173.

White added that the winner of the tango will get next crack at the 205-pound crown after top contender Alexander Gustafsson.

People were just going on about how Shogun looked sooo good in his previous fight, Hendo knocks him out but has zero chance about DC? He has just as good a chance as anyone.

You could never put Hendo into a fight and say he can't win, you just can't. He's been around way too long and has too much experience to ever think he can't win a fight. He has arguably the most dangerous punch in the 205 lb division still to this day.

Henderson only has a chance on roids (TRT). If he's not using it at all now, especially during his camp, he has zero chance against Cormier. Well, that's not entirely true. Non-roided Dan will need to revert back to Decision Dan and win one of his trademark robberies (i.e. like some of those "wins" prior to his steroids and TRT-bomb days).

Most likely Hendo's last chance. If anyone can he can. He loves being doubted.

DC will finish hendo in the first, too much strength and speed for hendo unfortunately. I mean he lost to rashad , Cormier is bigger and stronger and just as fast.
