Lawlor injured, off UFC Dublin card

by Chris Palmquist |

Today the Underground confirmed that Tom Lawlor has suffered an injury and will be unable to compete in his scheduled bout for July 16th in Dublin, Ireland.

Lawlor was scheduled to fight Ilir Latifi, his first fight in over a year after recovering from ACL replacement surgery. The fight marked a return to the light heavyweight division for Lawlor, who has fought all his fights at middleweight with the exception of his first.

It is unknown at this time whether or not Latifi will get a replacement or the fight will be scratched all together.

Obviously I am out of the fight. I literally asked where the person heard it from, because I wanted to know who he heard it from. I never said anything to the contrary, simply asked where he heard it.  Out of nowhere about 3 weeks ago my knee started acting up. Saw AT's, got sports massage, ultrasound, etc. Tried a variety of things but for some reason it has taken weeks to schedule an MRI and left me with little options. The knee hasn't improved and I still don't even know what the issue is with it. I'll know more on Tuesday when the MRI is scheduled to take place.
