Rankings Update: Bisping still at 8th

After each event, the UFC polls various members of the media to update its rankings in each weight division as well as the pound for pound rankings.

This past weekend the UFC held two events, first UFC Fight Night 47 in Macao, China and UFC Fight Night 48 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Champion : Chris Weidman
1    Anderson Silva
2    Lyoto Machida
3    Vitor Belfort
4    Jacare Souza
5    Luke Rockhold
6    Tim Kennedy
7    Gegard Mousasi
8    Michael Bisping
9    CB Dollaway
10    Yoel Romero +1
11    Costas Philippou -1
12    Thales Leites +3
13    Mark Munoz
14    Tim Boetsch
15    Francis Carmont -3

Despite earning an impressive win over Cung Le, Bisping's ranking did not change. Cung Le was not ranked so the non-movement makes sense. The big mover in the middleweight division was Thales Leites who moved up three spots with a knockout of Francis Carmont. Carmont dropped three spots.

Yeah that seems more fair to me as well. But like you said each of those guys could beat anyone in the division on any given night.

Yeah, seems ridiculous to me. I have itKhabibRDABendoGilCerroneLW is so damn competitive though that most of these could beat any of each other.

I didn't think he was out live or on the replay.Like I said in those cases you give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Former champ, fight with title implications, etc. I've just learned not to count guys out. That being said, I think you are right and rda would have finished it soon after, but I would have liked to seen bendo get the chance regardless.

I like how you hijack a thread about another fighter to gripe about another fighters ranking....

When you're ranked as the eighth best fighter on the planet in your weight class, you're not a gatekeeper.
