Fuel TV reported that the planned Dennis Hallman vs. Thiago Tavares fight was canceled. MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani said that Hallman was seven pounds overweight. Tavares said he’d take the fight if Hallman could get to three pounds over, but he couldn’t make it. Tavares will make his show money for making weight.

Another undercard fighter missed weight, as veteran featherweight Bart Palaszewski came in at 147 for his bout with Diego Nunes. Palaszewski had an hour to lose the remaining pound or risk forfeiting part of his fight purse.
