Barnett wants JDS next
Josh Barnett is a former UFC heavyweight champion, and after a loss in his last fight, is hoping to get back on track to a title shot, and would like to start with a win over a former champion:
“I talked to his manager and he wants to fight Junior dos Santos next,” reporter Ariel Helwani said on this week’s edition of “UFC Tonight.” “He wants to get back in the title picture and he has to go through him.”
Wait up, did Barnett’s manager essentially just label dos Santos as the heavyweight division’s gatekeeper? Well, after two straight lopsided losses to reigning champ Cain Velasquez, I guess I can see where he’s coming from.
