Benson Henderson 3-0 vs. Jackson’s MMA

Thursday, June 05, 2014

Former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson is 3-0 against Team Jackson members, having beaten Clay Guida once, and Donald Cerrone twice. “Smooth” plans to keep that streak alive as he fights Rustam Khabilov in the main event of UFC Fight Night 42, broadcast live at 10 p.m. ET on Fox Sports1 from Albuquerque, NM.

“There's not much of a rivalry,” said Henderson to Mike Bohn for USA TODAY Sports. “Our gym against Greg Jackson's gym, I think we're like 7-0 against them. I'm 3-0, so we don't really see it as a rivalry.”

“Khabilov is tough. I have to go out there and get my hand raised.”

Greg Jackson doesn't see a rivalry either.

“I never really think in those terms,” said the three-time World MMA Award winning coach. “I don't keep score, because we have so many fights going on every month. They are a great team, and it will be a lot of fun trying to fight against him again. What happened in the past doesn't matter much. It just matters what we do on Saturday.”
