Brimmage and Blanco flip out

UFC 145 had echoes of Harold Howard:

It took almost 18 years for a Cartwheel kick to once again almost land in the Octagon. But this time it was after the bell.

Saturday night Featherweights Maximo Blanco and Marcus Brimage competed for a largely unremarkable three rounds. After the final bell Blanco threw his arms up in victory and flipped out, literally.

Not to be outdone, Brimmage matched Blanco back handspring, cartwheel, and flip for flip.

The crowd booed, Joe Rogan was not impressed, and Brimage was eventually awarded a split decision.

Blanco made his UFC debut coming off a loss, to Pat Healy, in Strikeforce. Brimgage is a TUF 14 veteran, coming off a win over Stephen Bass at the TUF 14 Finale. It is not know what is next for either of them.

It is highly unlikely that fliping becomes a regular part of the waiting-for-decision fight routine.
