Longtime UGer Cyrus Fees began working professionally in the MMA space a decade ago when he co-hosted MMA: Inside The Cage on Tuff TV, Fight Now TV, and YouTube, along with Casey Oxendine. Fees then worked as the first news anchor for the relaunched ABC 19 WKPT-TV News in Tennessee. However, the pull of MMA was such that in 2012 he determined to pursue full-time commentary and ring announcing in the combat sports space, and succeeded.

He works full-time internationally as a play-by-play commentator for leading MMA promotions including Brave Combat Federation, EFC Worldwide, Art of War FC, and now Fight Nights Global.

“We’re happy to announce Cyrus Fees has joined FIGHT NIGHTS GLOBAL!” read the announcement. “His voice is familiar to millions MMA fans around the world. Cyrus has been commentating and ring announcing for more than 10 years, worked in over 20 countries and has been seen on AXStv, EuroSport, ESPN UK, Sky Sports, Fox Sports Australia, FX UK, HBO Latin America, SuperSport. Let’s welcome Cyrus to the FNG family!”

Fees was equally enthusiastic.

“The news is out! I’ve signed with Fight Nights Global for 2018,” he wrote on his social network. “Very excited to be a part of this promotion. They have an incredible international tour lined up, as well as some blockbuster Russian events.

“I’ll be serving as lead commentator on their broadcasts, which will be seen on UFC Fight Pass. I’ve been told that I’ll be doing some ring announcing as well, on select shows. This will be my first time working on Fight Pass, so I’m also excited to add that to my resume.

“I will also still be maintaining my role with EFC and Brave Combat Federation, so this year will be as busy, if not busier than the last. In fact, since I started working full-time at this in 2013… every year after has been better. More shows, bigger platforms, and quite frankly… better money!

“First show is #FNG83 February 22 in Moscow! See you on Fight Pass!”

Fight Nights Global is based in Moscow, Russian and has held many dozens of events in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Slovakia, Georgia, and Tajikistan since its founding in 2010. FNG vets include Vitaly Minakov, Ali Bagautinov, and Maryna Moroz. Further, FNG shares fighters with top European promotions including KSW and The Cage.  Majority ownership is held by Russian billionaire Ziyavudin Magomedov, who is developing the promotion instead of investing in the UFC.
