Din Thomas: I do think there’s a place in the UFC for me
Ed Kapp – It might be down the road, but have you thought about a potential return to the Octagon?
I’ve thought about it, but that’s not really up to me, you know? Everyone goes, “So, you going to get back in the UFC?” But that’s not really up to me. That’s like asking if you’re going to be in Steven Spielberg’s next movie—it’s not up to me, it’s up to them. If I win my fights in an impressive fashion and I get a buzz going about me and they want to use me, then we can talk. If not, I’ve had my run in the UFC; I’ve had a lot of good fights and gotten good opportunities in the UFC. It’s not that big of deal for me to get back in, but if it works out, it works out.
Do you feel that there is a spot in the UFC’s featherweight division for Din Thomas?
Yeah, there is. I do think there’s a spot for me in the UFC. There are a lot of good fighters at 145 pounds that I really match up well against. At the end of the day, people want to see good fights and I know that I’m capable of putting on some great fights.
Do you ever get sick of the UFC questions?
No [laughs]. Not at all.
