Eric Prindle wins 100k Bellator tourney as Thiago Santos misses weight

I can now confirm that Eric Prindle has been awarded the 100k and Bellator Heavyweight title shot after Thiago Santos missed weight.
Eric Prindle took a long, strange route to Bellator’s Season 5 Heavyweight Tournament winner, its $100,000 total purse (ist fight was 10/10, 2nd & 3rd was 20/20), and a title fight with Champion Cole Konrad.
At Bellator 59 Prindle fought Thiago Santos in the heavyweight tournament final, but Santos inexplicably decided to execute a mighty nut punt. Brazilian love of soccer is as reasonable an explanation as any for the foul.
The kick was somehow declared accidental, and the bout was declared a no contest. Prindle reported on the status of his nuts for days, until they were better.
The two were rescheduled to fight last Friday at Bellator 61, but Prindle got the flu, and was forced to withdraw at the last moment.
Finally they were scheduled to fight tomorrow at Bellator 62, but Santos weighed in at 277.8, and was unable to make the 265 pound cutoff, so Prindle was declared the winner.
