Invicta FC 6 now on DirecTV, iN Demand, Dish Network

I just got word that Direct TV will be carrying the televised ppv. It will take a couple of days for them to update their systems, but it is a go!!! 🙂

Late last month word came out that Invicta Fighting Championships would be moving to standard televised pay-per-view for their July 13 PPV headlined by Marloes Coenen against Cris Cyborg in a rematch to crown the promotion’s first featherweight championship. The move from internet PPV to traditional TV PPV was a big one, but they weren’t locked to roll on every major carrier, as DirecTV was not set to carry the show.

This was the last major hurdle as far as making the show available to the masses as Dish Network and iN Demand were already planning to carry the show.

There’s likely a lot riding on the success of this show. With rumors that Showtime may have interest in a broadcast deal with Invicta, bombing with their biggest star in their first PPV effort — reasonably priced just at under $15 — could possibly make the premium cable network hesitant.
