Brazil's SporTV is reporting that Junior dos Santos broke his left hand, and is out of the TUF Brazil 3 Finale vs. Stipe Miocic on May 31 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The card was expected to broadcast on FOX Sports 1.

“I'm really sad,” said dos Santos. “I apologize to my fans, to the UFC, and to my opponent, Stipe Miocic, and hope to have another opportunity to fight in Brazil once my hand is healed.”

The Brazilian heavyweight Junior dos Santos  will have to postpone his UFC debut on Brazilian soil. The fighter suffered a broken finger during training for the main event of TUF Brazil 3 Final in Sao Paulo, and cannot perform at the event, held at Ibirapuera Gymnasium, in Sao Paulo, May 31. Dos Santos was to face Croatian born Stipe Miocic, in the main event.

The UFC has not yet determined who his replacement will be, or if there will be a new main event.

According to the CEO of the UFC in Brazil, Grace Tourinho, the organization is working to find a new main event, or a substitute for Junior dos Santos.

Bummed about the news. Wishing @junior_cigano a quick recovery. Not sure where things stand, but whatever the @ufc wants me to do I'm game.

The UFC announced that JDS will be replaced with Fabio Maldonado's part, who is coming off an exciting, three-fight win streak over Roger Hollett, Joey Beltran, and Gian Villante.
