Little Nog injured, out of Gustafsson fight, Sonnen has field day

Thursday, October 31, 2013

On Sunday UFC president Dana White announced a light heavyweight fight between Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Alexander Gustafsson at  on March 8, in London, England. If Gustafsson got the win, he was to get another title shot against the winner of Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira.

However, Little Nog has been forced from the fight due a back injury. Ariel Helwani confirmed the news with UFC president Dana White.

Nogueira has not fought since beating Rashad Evans at UFC 156 in Ferbruary via unanimous decision. Injury has repeatedly forced Little Nog from several scheduled fights during his career in the UFC, including Gustafsson previously, Rich Franklin, and, for the same back injury, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Chael Sonnen, who predicted the drop out, opened up on Nogueira with a massive combination of insults, via Twitter.
