Ronda Rousey: ‘I am the best f@$%ing fighter in the world’
Ronda Rousey, with her UFC championship and mainstream crossover appeal, could be appearing in more than one movie next summer.
@RondaRousey balancing the two will never work out.

Just f—in watch me.
UFC woman’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has had a major impact on the sport faster than only a handful of figures, including Brock Lesnar and an early Vitor Belfort. And it may not last.
Rousey won a bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and then tended bar for a while before settling on a career in MMA. Now she has expanding opportunities in movies, and her Feb fight with Liz Carmouche made her feel human, leaving her to contemplate her exit from the sport.
“I said from the beginning that I work in quadrennials,” said Rousey. “I do four-year cycles. I think I’ve got two years left in me, realistically, if I’m going to do this like an Olympic run.”
“I think one profession has a much-longer shelf life than the other. My last fight, I was kind of forced to face my mortality a little bit. I had an air of invincibility about me, and I was kind of forced to realize statistically there is a chance you could get permanently hurt or even die. There’s only so many times you can roll the dice.
“I am the best f—ing fighter in the world, and I truly believe that, but you’re still rolling the dice no matter who you are, so I do have to kind of set up an exit strategy. That’s what I did wrong in judo. I followed it all the way until the end, and I didn’t put any thought into after.”
“I really want to do something special, and I really want to be the person that was able to do both (acting and fighting).”
“I’ve got two more years to get the ball rolling without me. TUF was the first step. It’s not the last one, but the work’s getting done.”
Rousey then responded to critics of the decision to possibly retire early, via Twitter.
•To everyone giving me s— for hypothetically retiring”someday-ill retire when I feel like my mark has been made and Im ready to make babies
•My best guess was 2-3 years but thats a guess, who knows, the day Im not overjoyed2go2the gym is the day I quit.Could be tomorrow or in 7years
•But ill tell you what,every1 giving me s— entertaining the idea is expediting it.Im a fighter&always will be,only ill know when its enough
•So f— all you hating twitter bitches, have a great time spending the rest of your day seething over my options and choices
•And for everyone that has my back and has been supportive through all this. Thank you so much,I can’t explain how much I appreciate you all.
