With former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre vacating his title, and taking a hiatus from fighting for an indetermined period of time, the UFC’s top-10 pound for pound list needed to be reorganized. And UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey made an appearance.

1 Jon Jones
2 Jose Aldo
3 Anderson Silva
4 Cain Velasquez
5 Renan Barao
6 Demetrious Johnson
7 Anthony Pettis
8 Chris Weidman
9  Benson Henderson
10 Ronda Rousey

The list is of course entirely theoretical, and thus in the final analysis has as much validity as discussion about how Anderson Silve might fare against Spideman. However, the premise is that if the fighters were of equal size, who would win?

The inclusion of a woman on the list would seem to indicate that a further qualification has been added – if the fighters were the same sex, who would would win?

Or does it?

If sex is taken out of the picture, Rousey is arguably the best fighter in the world, as no one has so dominated the competition. Countering that, some would say that the talent pool Rousey faces is not as deep as say the men’s light heavyweight division.

And given footage of Rousey tappinng out formidable fighters like Uriah Hall with ease, maybe she would fare well vs. men.

So what do you think about Ronda Rousey appeared on the P4P list?
