At tonight's ESPN ESPY awards UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was named the 2013 'Female Athlete of the Year'.

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey on Wednesday broke another barrier in her already illustrious career, winning “Best Female Athlete” at the 2014 ESPYs in Los Angeles.

Rousey, 27, was also nominated for “Best Fighter,” as was UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones, but both fell short to boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, who picked up his third straight win in the category.
