TUF tryouts coming in China, Australia, Canada

Thursday, July 04, 2013

The worldwide success of mixed martial arts was sparked by the success of The Ultimate Fighter 1 series. Now the UFC is initiating plans to replicate the model worldwide, with fighters tryouts in China, Australia, and Canada.

The latest, 18th season on TUF is currently filiming with a coed group coached by Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate. There have also been three international versions to date, two in Brazil, and a U.K. vs. Australia version dubbed “The Smashes.” In addition, TUF 9 featured the US vs the UK.

The international versions are now expanding, and they need fighters.

The UFC has targeted Cung Le as a coach. Le is an American of Vietnamese extraction.
