“I fight, I train, I train, I fight,” says Misha Cirkunov, Hard Knocks Light Heavyweight Champion. “Hard Knocks gave me the fights. My team and gym gave me the skills. My family gave me the strength.  I’m so close to where I’ve always wanted to be.”

Earlier this year, in HK41, Cirkunov famously won the title against former UFC fighter Rodney Wallace with his wife, fashion model Brittany Churchill, joining him in the ring in a video that has been seen millions of times around the world.

“Misha is a special talent. You just don’t get his blend of skills and strength very often. Hard Knocks fans got to see this firsthand when he took and defended our light heavyweight title,” says Ari Taub, CEO of Hard Knocks Fighting Championship. “Now UFC fans will get to see this too – we are just thrilled for Misha, his family, Xtreme Couture, his coach Lachlan Cheng, and Pat Wilson at Rise Management.”

Cirkunov is the third great Hard Knocks fighter to have progressed on to fight in the UFC. He joins an elite group of Hard Knocks alumni including: Ronda Rousey and Elias Theodorou.

Theodorou, a UFC TUF champion from Toronto trains with Cirkunov at Xtreme Couture in Toronto under the highly successful MMA coach, Lachlan Cheng.

“Misha is both a friend and my biggest motivation in the gym, ” says Elias Theodorou, UFC fighter. “He is a beast and this beauty can’t wait for the rest of the world to find that out.”

“Misha has been the top prospect in Canada since the sport has been legal in Ontario. I really feel like he has finally found the right environment and people to let him finally shed that label and achieve greatness,” says Lachlan Cheng, MMA coach. “Fans are going to get to see his complete skillset on the big stage and bright lights of the UFC.”
