UGer stabs cousin after watching UFC 154 prelims
Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies say a South Carolina man stabbed his cousin after they watched Mixed Martial Arts on television Saturday night.
Deputy Curtis Wilson says after the MMA event was over, 37-year-old Jason Sparks and another man got into a play match of their own. Sparks lost and became upset.
Deputies say Sparks’ cousin tried to stop him from attacking the man, and Sparks pulled a pocket knife and stabbed his cousin in the torso.
The attack happened at about 9 p.m. at a home in the 200 block of Bennington Ct, Richland County, SC.
As Sparks and his girlfriend drove his injured cousin to the hospital, Deputies say Sparks again tried to attack his cousin before he passed out in the back seat.
Sparks was arrested on an aggravated assault charge and taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
Deputies say the three men had been drinking.
There is no word on the victim’s condition.
Yes, there is a UGer by that name. No, it has not been determined whether or not the UGer by the same name is the cousin-stabbing South Carolinan with the receeding hairline. It certainly is possible though.
