White: UFC 168 will be biggest UFC show ever
UFC 100 was massive, headlined by:
•Heavyweight Championship unification bout: Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir;
•Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Thiago Alves; and, despite not being a title fight, the one no one forgets…
•Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping
UFC president Dana White says UFC 168 will be bigger, in every way. The fan made poster below gives some idea of why, but there is much more. The traditional year end show main event is the rematch between Anderson Silva and new UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman. Card to date also features Josh Barnett vs. Travis Browne, Michael Johnson vs. Gleison Tibau, Diego Brandao vs. Dustin Poirier, and Uriah Hall vs. Chris Leben.
“I think it’s going to be the biggest fight we’ve ever done,” said White. “Bigger than UFC 100. On every level. Tickets, pay-per-views, everything. You’re going to see a motivated Anderson, but what makes this so much fun is, what Anderson are you going to see? How is this thing going to go? That’s such a big part of the fun.”
“Just think about this. If you put it in your head, the f—— music goes off, the lights go down, the walk-in music starts, when they go down on Dec. 28, how f—— crazy is that going to be? How insane is that going to be when they start walking in?”
