Who could replace Dana White?
Do you wanna be f@$%ing UFC president?
White has spoken vaguely about potentially moving on at some point to a position in the gaming industry. MMAJunkie spoke with a number of fighters about who their first choice would be to replace White were the boss to retire.
Phil Davis: “There only one person that can bring fights with the same enthusiasm and the same amount of charisma, night after night, weekend after weekend… that's Charlie Sheen, OK? He has tiger's blood. I'm ready to drink some.”
Mark Munoz: “Wow… maybe David Stern? I don't know. David Stern would probably be a kind of opposite new flavor going into the UFC.”
Luke Barnatt: “Chael Sonnen, 100%. I think he's the only fighter that could. Apart from that, it's pretty tough, because Dana's a pretty special character.
Seth Baczynski: “I wanna go Mike Tyson. I just feel like he can relate to the fighters, because he's fought, but he still has that nasty grittyness about him. He's got such a cool personality he could make anything interesting.”
Michael Bisping: “I don't think anything could replace Dana. Dana's one of a kind. Love him or hate him – I happen to love him – the guy has done things in this sport that no one ever thought possible. Dragged it into the mainstream, made it the sport that we all love, give all of us jobs, he's one of a kind. You could never replace Dana.
Mac Danzig: “No one's going to be able to fill his shoes. No one can swear the way that guy swears. And no one has that sort of, I don't know, you could kind of call it charisma. There are a lot of people with charisma, but not in the same way. So if someone wants to take that job, they can't fill his shoes. They're going to have to do a completely different angle.
J.J. Noons: “Who could replace him? Me. If I go back to my old self, start talking s—, people are going to be getting a lot of hits.”
Ok UG, you have the floor. Who could replace Dana White?
