Brave News, the online show that keeps fans around the world updated on everything related to the fastest-rising MMA promotion in the world, comes back this week with a message from iconic fighter Wanderlei Silva. While in Bahrain to witness the historical Brave 9, the former Pride champion heaped praise upon Brave Combat Federation, sharing his experience with the International Combat Week, comparing Brave to the Japanese promotion PRIDE, and lauding His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s vision encouraging fighters to develop themselves and the sport as a whole.

Meanwhile in Brazil, Brave Light Heavyweight champion Klidson de Abreu was honored in local city Laranjeiras do Sul’s birthday parade as his contributions to the city have been recognized by citizens. He was celebrated by the audience and offered his Brave belt to the audience.

Conor McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagh was quick to praise Ahmed Amir’s performance at Brave 9 against Erik Carlsson. Through the promotion’s social media profile, Kavanagh described Amir and Carlsson’s fight as the event’s best bout.

Brave president Mohammed Shahid has spoken about how the promotion has evolved to much more than just MMA, mentioning International Combat Week’s several events, with musical attractions, car shows, and food festivals.

Last but not least, Lightweight contender Luan “Miau” Santiago has started a strong campaign to become the first challenger to Ottman Azaitar’s belt. He was supported by big names in MMA, such as John Lineker, Darren Till, Felipe Silva and Brave’s own Lucas Mineiro, who all asked for Santiago’s title shot.
