Brave News, the online show that keeps fans updated on everything related to the biggest MMA promotion in the Middle East, comes back this week in Jordan, where Brave 10 took the country by storm and brought thousands of fans to the Boxing Arena at King Hussein Sports City, in Amman. A fantastic fight night, with a passionate crowd and epic fights! A massive kickoff for Brave CF in 2018!
Brave 10 was headlined by an exciting Featherweight title bout in which Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame retained his belt by submitting challenger Jakub Kowalewicz in the championship rounds. Elias, who was already the first promotional champion, is now the first fighter ever to defend a Brave belt.
The night was also unforgettable for the Jordanian fans with all the four local stars winning their bouts. Jarrah Al Selawi submitted David Bear with only three seconds left on the clock to secure his Welterweight title shot. Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady pulled off a dominant performance to top Charlie Leary. Jalal Al Daaja submitted Filipino star Crisanto Pitpitunge and Nawras Abzakh bounced back from his promotional debut defeat in great style, submitting former amateur world champion Abdul Hussein, guaranteeing 4-0 for the home fighters.
Other notorious performances included Tahar Hadbi’s KO over Mohammad Fakhreddine, settling the biggest rivalry in the Middle East. The impressive debut of Sidney Wheeler, defeating Pawel Kielek; Will Fleury beating Tarek Suleiman; and Sodiq Yussuf beating Ireland’s Dylan Tuke. Russia’s Ikram Aliskerov remained undefeated after defeating South Africa’s Chad Hanekom, and Frans Mlambo won the much-anticipated clash against Felipe Efrain in one of the most commented fights of the night, due to its controversial end.
To wrap up this edition, Brave 11 was confirmed for April 13th and Belo Horizonte will be the host city of the third Brave incursion in Brazil. The fight night will be headlined by the interim Lightweight title bout between Lucas Mineiro Martins and Luan “Miau” Santiago. The co-main event of the evening will see the first title defense of Light Heavyweight kingpin Klidson de Abreu against Kennedy Nzechukwua.
