The greatest fighter in women’s MMA, Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino, has been subjected to one of the oddest series of fights in modern UFC history. She sucks weight brutally hard to reach 140 to fight women who are coming up from bantamweight, who are not in the top 15. It is like making a prime GSP suck weight to 162.5 until he’s crying, so he could beat some guy coming up from lightweight who is outside the top 15, or even outside the UFC.

By itself, it makes no sense.

However, it is part of a plan to set up the greatest fight in women’s MMA history, and quite possibly the biggest PPV ever. UFC president Dana White spoke recently with TMZ Sports about former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.

I can tell you this – Ronda wants to fight Cyborg, said White. Absolutely, positively wants to fight Cyborg. So we’ll see what happens.

No one on Earth wants this fight more than does Cris. She appeared recently on Fox Sports 1’s Speak for Yourself with Jason Whitlock and revealed she is on a Candyman campaign to get Ronda Rousey to say her name. Cyborg even has a date picked out – UFC 207 on Dec 30, 2016, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Ronda doesn’t say anything,” said Cyborg, as transcribed by Tristen Critchfield for Sherdog. “She doesn’t even say my name. She used Dana White and her mother to talk to me, because she knows if she says my name, she’ll have to fight me. She knows this.

“My last fight, I broke the nose of the girl in three places. Sure, if I fight her she’ll have to do surgery on her face after. I’m not kidding.

“I watched her do shadow box and the shadow won. Maybe that means when Mike Tyson lose his fight by KO, he never the same. Maybe it means that Ronda lost her last fight and she’s never the same. But not because she KOs people. She never did this.”
