UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has been advocating for a fight with former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre at UFC 206 in Toronto on December 10. And GSP has been in a negotiation with the UFC so bitter that the fighter had declared he was a free agent.
Earlier this week UFC president Dana White said the fight was not happening at UFC 206. Now GSP has posted a message on his social network, confirming that the fight was not happening. But GSP also said he had met with new UFC head Ari Emanuel, and had made peace with White.
“Nothing would make me happier than fighting you in Toronto, Michael,” said GSP to Bisping. “Last week I met with Ari, and I made peace with Dana. I tried to resolve things, but unfortunately, it’s not happening. Hopefully things will change soon.
“Thank you.”

Unfortunately, there yet remains no date or opponent for St-Pierre’s return.
As for Bisping, #3 ranked middleweight contender Jacare Souza fights #1 Luke Rockhold at UFC Fight Night 101 on Nov. 26, 2016, in Melbourne, Australia. And #2 Chris Weidman fights #4 Yoel Romero at UFC 205 on November 12, 2016, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. Whoever wins most spectacularly will presumably gets a shot at ‘The Count’.
