Karl Amoussou signs with Brave Combat Federation

Brave Combat Federation has signed Karl Amoussou to a multiple fight contract. Amoussou is the current Cage Warriors welterweight champion and is a veteran of Strikeforce, DREAM, M-1 Global, Pancrase, and Bellator.

Amoussou started training at Judo at the age of three and a half with his father; his older brother Bertrand is a medal-winning judoka for France. Inspired by Bertrand who fought in Pride FC, Karl started his MMA training at 18. He moved to Chute Boxe, Brazil to train beside Wanderlei Silva before making his professional debut. Known for his outstanding ground game, Amoussou has never been submitted in his mixed martial arts career spanning 34 fights. Amoussou has finished 17 out of his 24 victories in the very first round. The last fighter to gain a TKO victory over Amoussou is Ben Askren.

Amoussou will be joining the fierce welterweight division of Brave Combat Federation. During the signing, he stated his ambition to take over the Brave CF championship title and reign. He will be joining the ranks of Jarrah Al Selawe, Carlston Harris, Tahar Hadbi, David Bear, Ahmed Amir, Erik Carlsson, Mohammed Fakhreddine, Gadzhimusa Gaziev, and Sidney Wheeler, among the toughest 170 divisions in the world.

Amoussou’s debut date and opponent will be announced shortly.

Brave Combat Federation will be hosting its upcoming event in Brazil on April 13th at Belo Horizonte at the Arena Mineirinho, to mark the third promotional event in Brazil.
