King of Morocco receives fighting Azaitar brothers
Modern mixed martial arts was born from the exploits of the Gracie brothers, notably Royce. Other badass brother teams have followed, including Fedor and Aleksander, Nick and Nate, Big and Little Nog, Shogun and Ninja, Alistair and Valentijn, Joe and Dan, Anthony and Sergio, and Dan and Jim. Add to the storied list Morocco’s Azaitar brothers; 13-1-1 UFC middleweight Abu, and 10-0 Brave CF lightweight champion Ottman.
As reported by Safaa Kasraoui for the Morocco World News the brothers were recently received by Morocco’s King Mohammed VI at Rabat Royal Palace. The brothers, along with their manager Omar Azaitar, also performed Friday prayers with his majesty Mohammed VI and Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan.
“It was one of the greatest honors for us to be part of the Friday prayer together with our beloved King,” wrote Ottman. “We love him and appreciate him a lot! May Allah protect and support him. Thank you so much for the invitation, your majesty!”
The meeting came a few days after the king returned home following heart surgery in France.
