Krause gets staph on TUF, 3 surgeries, 25 stitches
The latest episode of The Ultimate Fighter, features 14 welterweights who previously appeared on the series. One, James Krause, was even an active UFC fighter.
Shortly after filming wrapped, a cut on Krause’s leg that he got during the show developed what he accurately termed a “nasty infection.” Like any normal person, he documented the ten days in the hospital, three surgeries, and 25 stitches on his social network.
“Hoping to be recovered in a day or two,” it begins.
Out of surgery and back in my room. The infection on my muscle was worse than they anticipated so they had to do some extra cutting and added a PICC LINE but I'm glad we're finally making progress. I'll have another surgery in a few days to close it but the light is at the end of the tunnel. Big thank you to everyone who sent messages showing support!
3rd (and hopefully final) surgery to get rid of this staph infection once and for all. Doctor basically did one final cleaning and closed up the 8" incision from the 2nd surgery. I have my finger crossed that this is the last thing to get rid of this and get back home to a normal life. Thank you to everyone for the messages, comments, and support. It means the world to me!
