Magana ‘most definitely’ suing Cyborg
Angela Magana: “You f@$%ed up big time. … And now I’m gonna get you as hard as I can get you.”

The UFC Athlete Retreat last weekend featured some unsanctioned punching. Strawweight Angela Magana had trolled Cris Cyborg, tweeting an image of the Brazilian entertaining children in a cancer ward side by side with an image of Billy the Puppet from the Saw franchise. Magana later said she had no idea what Cyborg was doing in the image, or, presumably that Cyborg’s father is currently fighting cancer.
Cyborg has previously suffered well-publicized insults from president Dana White and the most famous figure in the sport’s history, Ronda Rousey. Perhaps the slights accumulated and finally boiled over.
“You don’t have respect for nobody,” said Cyborg on a video of the incident.
“I can talk about whoever the f*** I want,” replies Magana.
Cyborg can be seen shouting, “F*** you, f*** you,” before hitting Magana in the face.
In an interview with TMZ, Magana said she will “most definitely” be filing a civil suit against Cyborg.
I’ve already retained a lawyer, said Magana. I have medical bills, I’m not gonna pay those. … I have another interview with the DA again this afternoon. I’ve been in talks with him. They are going to be pressing felony assault charges. I’m pretty sure. That’s what they are talking to me again about today. They want to press assault charges, and it will be a felony.
“People accuse me of cyber bullying. But man, how many fighters would be in trouble for that … You have to have some type of mental toughness, a mental dexterity, especially in this day and age with things like Twitter and social media.
“She gets what she has coming. She’s a cheater. You f***ed up big time. You can’t do what you did. And now I’m gonna get you as hard as I can get you.
The civil suit is not the sole repercussion from the incident.
The police were contacted, and Cyborg was cited by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for misdemeanor battery. The district attorney will decide whether or not to pursue charges. There could be further fallout from the UFC.
We’re looking more into that and it’s very serious, said White.
