Paddy the Baddy aims to be the next Conor McGregor

A team spent three years putting together a documentary that follows ‘The Baddy’s journey from indifferent high school student to Cage Warriors champion.

Conor McGregor was 12-2 when he entered the UFC, and had won the Cage Warriors featherweight and lightweight belts. The BJJ brown belt was young, brash, charismatic, poor, positive, and poised for greatness. “The Notorious’ had a cooler nickname than ‘Pitbull’, too.

Paddy Pimblett is 13-2, and won the Cage Warriors featherweight belt; Saturday night at Cage Warriors 90 he’s moving up to lightweight. The BJJ brown belt is young, brash, charismatic, poor, positive, and may very well be poised for greatness. ‘Paddy the Baddy’ has a cooler nickname than ‘The Notorious’, too.

And Paddy’s only 23. McGregor was 24 when he made it to the big show.

Paddy ‘The Baddy’ fights Alexis Savvidis at 155+1 on Saturday night in the co-main event of Cage Warriors 90 at Echo Arena, in Liverpool, England. The event will stream live on UFC Fight Pass starting at 4:00 p.m. ET.
