Pico liver shot is painful even to watch
It is extraordinarily unusual for a first-time fighter to debut on a pay per view television broadcast. The last time it happened in the UFC was James Toney in 2010; the boxer never threw a single punch. Wrestling and combat sports prodigy Aaron Pico made his MMA debut on the main card of Bellator NYC on June 24, at Madison Square Garden with massive expectations.
“Simply put, Aaron has all the makings of MMA’s next great superstar,” said Bellator president Scott Coker beforehand. “To have him here at Bellator is something special.”
Then Pico got tapped out in 24 seconds by the unheralded Zach Freeman. However, Aaron Pico is a champion, and champions learn from the losses.
Pico’s next fight was vs. 7-3 Justin ‘The Mortal Sinn’ Linn at Bellator 183 September 23, 2017. That ended up with a knockout so mighty it would be really hard to top. But on Saturday night at Bellator 192, Pico dug down for an even more spectacular finish vs. Shane ‘The War Rhino’ Kruchten.
And then a fan turned Pico’s matador celebration into a compelling video!

Aaron Pico and Scott Coker expect great things; you should to. However, the only thing that may be impossible to top is his opponent’s cage names. After ‘The Mortal Sinn’ and ‘The War Rhino’ no ‘Pitbull’, ‘Beast’, or ‘Junior’ will do.
