The “Cygames Presents RIZIN Fighting World GP 2016, star-studded mixed martial arts extravaganza at Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, Sept. 25, streamed live in its entirety, free-of-charge at 2 a.m. EST (3 p.m. local JST). The 13-bout mega-card was headlined by the six fights comprising the first stage of the multi-event, 16-man open weight tournament.

Sakakibara also introduced the combat sports federation’s new title sponsor, Japan-based video game publishing mammoth Cygames.

The six, first-stage tournament bouts are highlighted by the return of MMA and kickboxing legend Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic, who will face Hyun Man Myung. Filipovic tipped the scales at 230 pounds, while Myung clocked in at 253 pounds. The greatest weight differential between two tournament opponents was that between former sumo wrestling champion Kaito Baruto Hoovelson, who weighed in at an enormous 401 pounds, and longtime fan favorite Kazuyuki Ol’ Iron Head Fujita, who clocked in at 248 pounds. Nine-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion Gabi Garcia registered a weight of 245 pounds for her featured, women’s open weight bout against MMA upstart and professional football player Destanie Yarbrough, who weighed in at 226 pounds.
