Till TKOs Cerrone in 1st round of UFC Fight Night 118 main event
The main event of UFC Fight Night 118 featured a welterweight fight between #6 ranked Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone and rising prospect Darren Till. The undefeated Till was a slight underdog coming into the fight, but proved that he belong amongst the top ten in the division.
Darren Till never had a UFC main event before headlining Saturday’s UFC Gdansk card against Donald Cerrone.
But if the Liverpool native had any sort of nerves going into the welterweight bout, he sure didn’t show it. The undefeated Till picked apart Cerrone and finished him via TKO at the 4:20 mark of the opening round at Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland.
Till (15-0-1) set the tone early by landing lefts, both of the overhand and straight variety, and finding a home. Cerrone was never able to get untracked as Till continued to pour it on.
Official Result: Darren Till defeated Donald Cerrone by TKO (Strikes, Round 1, 4:20)
