Twitter reacts to Malignaggi ‘knockdown’

Former two-weight world boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi was brought into Conor McGregor’s camp to help prepare for the boxing match on August 26 vs. Floyd Mayweather. Malignaggi quit after complaining that McGregor posted an image on Instagram that insinuated there had been a knockdown, when it was, in fact, a slip.

In fact, UFC president Dana White posted a video of the exchange and although there is a degree of ambiguity over what happened, it is now apparent to everyone but Malignaggi’s mom that the Instagram image was not inappropriate.

Twitter reacted, and none so much as Malignaggi himself.

McGregor is on record as saying he wants to box again. Now we know who he will be boxing against.
