It was probably because I said that the only sure bet concerning Faber-Cruz was that neither guy will ever main event a UFC again

Same thing happened to me last week on a Poll thread. Spent a good 20 minutes finding appropriate pictures, answers, etc. only to have it go down the memory hole. Didn't have the will to redo it.

What's the lesson here?

 I think that Cruz is too quick, slippery and has the boxing and length to keep Faber at a distance for 5 rounds and will do so with greater ease in a significantly bigger cage. I see it being Cruz sticking to what works, Faber taking wild chances to no avail, the crowd getting restless and Rogan and Goldie telling us what a great battle we're seeing and our eyes telling us something different

I also think that the UFC desperately wants the title on Faber and have him and Aldo as the face of the under 155lb guys and like many guys Zuffa annoints (BJ and the LW title the first time) it never seems to go according to their plan.

I like Faber's skillset, just not against Cruz. Urijah against a come forward guy can be a highlight reel fight, but as we've seen from his career: he's been the benificiary of helpful clever matchmaking

I don't think Faber is that good either, but it's obvious they'll give him a title shot at the drop of the hat.

But I think Cruz is much more inferior to Faber and will take another loss without the decision coming.

 Faber could barely take down Eddie Wineland and he's not going to win standing.

 Since this was meant to be a betting thread, I'd bet that he's the mod responsible for Hague-gate. Hague came on here bragging and bashing the fans (who let him skip lines, buy him drinks and their girls' want to bang him) as a poorly thought out measure of support for McCorkle. I think Zippy in his zeal to protect Sean from the fallout was the one who froze me. I could be wrong; I advocated betting Baroni over Amir and Tavares, so it wouldn't be the first time.
