I went into this book thinking it was going to be a bit scientific and well boring but I was pleasantly surprised to read Mark Millar's introduction saying it was one of Ellis greatest works even more so than Transmetropolitan. Now I didnt think it had enough volume to claim that particular scalp being a limited series but I do think it was a brilliant piece of science fiction and took me back to my old childhood days of reading Dan Dare.
This Graphic novel is about what would have happened if Britain had taken on the space race and gotten funding from somewhere after the war. The artwork is by Chris Weston and it is stunning, the colouring I didnt think was always on point but never the less this is a beautiful piece of work from all parties.
If you love space and science fiction this is definitely worth a couple of hours of your time, it gives a social commentary on what might have been in both technology and mind set with a powerful ending that left me thinking.
I think it was published by Image.
