I didn't see it that way, DA. I see Rumlow, both in Tbolts, and here, as kind of a pathetic loser who is just bitter and shitty and self destructive. I think he's straight villain, by choice.

Yeah, I don't think he's really an anti-hero. I mean, what kind of anti-hero hangs/blows up Friendly Local Army Dude in a sneak attack, gloats over sniping a national hero in the back, leaves a mob of villagers to get eaten by werewolves, or pushes minors out of helicopters. That's a little dark, even for grim n' gritty stories.

Also, lol @ Chuck Liddell as a skinhead.

That said, I knew a half dozen guys growing up that were JUST like Rumlow. He reads very real to me.

I get what you're saying, but he's a douchebag. One moment of mercy doesn't erase him killing a shitton of survivors just to make his escape easier. He's a piece of shit, and he seems to be resigned to that.

Like I say he reminds me so much of guys i grew up with, I think that's why I liked the story.

I liked the story. ALways liked him as a CA villain. And thanks for posting, brother!
