I am on my fifth Little Tony P Berimbolo DVD. They have all been defective. Each disc stopping play at different times.

After my troubles I checked the reviews on his other DVDs. His hook flip DVD has three reviews. Each of those 3 saying the disc are "unwatchable" or "defective".

All the while Budovideos telling me its my DVD player.

Even though its the only instructional in English covering the Berimbolo , DO NOT BUY IT.

Have a nice day Phone Post

I have the Sao Paulo Pass DVD and it works perfectly.

Also what you have posted is a hardware issue review of whoever printed it.

Ok. for homie above. The DVD review covering the material covered is crap. The last DVD I received actually plays 44 minutes. I was pleased to see that the DVD is broken down into a phases that relate to the actual fight to submission. Meaning setup, the actual fight/what your fighting for, and the finish.

That being said the material jumps around a ton. Tony is all over the place.

Tony also uses a blue belt as his assistant in the DVD that doesn't always seem to know where to go. Phone Post

He's definitely not Brandon Quick. There's a video that talks about his training history on YouTube. Weird how you discredit someone's lineage for a defective DVD.

Did you try it on different DVD players?

Throwing the Brandon Quick allegation out there was out of line.

The Bq comment might of seemed out of line. I guess I could of said. This DVD seems overly rushed, and made for money. Phone Post

I don't think he's much of a DVD producer, but I've found his material and teaching to be excellent.

Tony is as legit as they come.  His DVD's have always worked fine for me and  I've learned a ton from em.

The Bq allegation is flat out horrible.  You need to apoligize for that one.

Tony is a great guy.   I'm sure you can email him directly and get a quick response and solution.

www.soulfight.net   is his website.

Tony is a great guy and totally legit. His instructionals have some great material, and he has something of a niche in trying to be the first guy to put out instructionals that cover "hot" new positions and moves.

That said, the quality and organization of his instructionals are definitely below average, more in line with something you would have seen 10-15 years ago. The price is fairly low. So it's kind of a tradeoff, all things considered. Don't go in expecting anything on the level of Kesting's slickly produced and superbly organized instructionals, for example, because Tony's stuff is definitely budget and disorganized by comparison.

I guess this thread proves why I originally posted anything in the first place. I love this site and was trying to help. I personally have not had a good experience all around.

That being said, I do think its awesome there are several guys vouching for Tony. This website, especially the smaller forums can be helpful and informative. Phone Post

Hi flowwiththeego,

Thank you for your facebook message. As we both explored in the chat today, I am sorry for the defective dvd and if you have bought the dvd through me I would hook you up. However, you purchased through budo and will need to work with them. Also any problem that budo has with my stuff I also hook budo up.

At this time, I am dissapointed that you said you would write a testimonial on the DVD and you go on a forum to mention that dvds were defects, disorganized in the presentation and not on the production level on Kesting.

The video was filmed a year ago. The assist in the video was a blue belt and the production value was low. The purpose of the video was originally for the SOULFIGHT.NET VIP Membership site.

As time moves forward and other instructors teach the berimbolo techniques, it will be interesting to see what points they cover from basic to advance.

In the instructional outline I created: I started with basic objectives of the position, basic grips and entries, from there I went into important battles to win, and wrapped it up with counters. That is not jumping around, but following a structured outline and teaching method. What you take away from the dvd is different compared to what someone else will. I am embarrassed of the defects and I said I am sorry to read and working to improve the issue.

If any one wants to review instructional to give a credible review, facebook me and I will send you the instructional. If you have time to view the instructional and review it; send me a message.

And thank you to boys that posted about my history, lineage and experiences with my instruction. In the end I am of the boys on the team. And I do not wish to be disrepected.

FWIW, the Sao Paulo passing game DVD that Little Tony put out was among the best I have purchased. The production quality was quite good considering the price.

Thank you htownbjj!

The Berimbolo instructional is 4 learning modules. Module 1 is in two parts A and B. For everyone that wants to experience my teaching methods, personality on screen and get an example of the techniques here is a 13 minute video (Module 1 A).

Please Be Patient While The Video Loads.

Tony's teaching in that video is top notch. One of my favourites.

Is the Sao Paulo Pass DVD about the leg drag style passing, or does it refer to something else?
