What are some common things you see fighters do in fights that have very high risk low reward or are just bad habits fighters have that make them lose.

Example: kicking when your back is against the cage. Seen marquardt and ubereem get kod when they throw out a kick while getting backed up.

Spinning elbows. Faber against brown. Chael vs silva.

What else do you guys see fighters do that are nono's. Phone Post 3.0

Old stand up coach and rogan say how jab to the body is pretty high risk. Leaves you pretty open to a straight shot. Thin gloves compromise hand safety if u hit a hip bone. Phone Post 3.0

Same goes for high volume combos because youre exposed to counters that are riskier with the thin gloves. Phone Post 3.0

Fighters would learn such better posturing and grappling if ground elbows went away. Phone Post 3.0

so many dudes would have avoided getting slept if they just kept their fucking hands up when they threw shots

And give the fighter on their back more room to work submissions or get back up. Finishing rates would go up imo. Phone Post 3.0

Locking up arms in guard to set-up armbars.

It never works at the upper level: McDonald/Faber is a good example.

It really just stalls the fight and costs the user time and energy that they could be using to get off their back. Phone Post 3.0

Saw a guy get knocked out doing the Harlem shuffle a little while back, that's probably a big no no.

At high level mma: Going for takedowns when the opponent is rocked.

It's pretty obvious now that the recovery ability is in wide spread use and guys get their senses when the fight stalls in guard.

I cringe when guys go for TDs when they could back off and let their opponent stand so they could finish them off from standing.

Standing KO/TKOs are the new thing and more fighter should work towards that finish. Phone Post 3.0
