Will be staying at Mandalay Bay 7/7- 7/14.
Been to Vegas several times.
What are the don't miss restaurants?
Cheap to steep, will be doing both.
Also, any insider tips?

Best buffet: Bacchanal Buffet (Caesars)

Best breakfast buffet: Wicked Spoon (Cosmopolitan)

Best buffet... on Sunday: The Sterling Brunch (Bally's)

Best breakfasts:
•Bouchon (Venetian)

Best burgers: Wolfgang Pucks in MGM (try prime burger with roasted onion marmalade)

Best Cheap eats:
•Planet Hollywood has an Earl of Sandwich place that is very good.
•Spearmint Rhino had free hot dogs and wings during the afternoon which is hard to beat.
•Monta ramen house on Spring Mountain. Their ramen is probably the best I've eaten.
•Fukumimi ramen on Tropicana and Eastern, is less packed and rushed than Monta

Best old school date destination: Hugo's Cellar (under the Four Queens in downtown Vegas)

Best irish food: Ri Ra's

Best lunch: Serendipity 3, Caesar's Palace courtyard across from The Flamingo.

Best meat fest: Texas De Brazil

Best Pho: Pho Kim Long

Best pizza - Secret Pizza (Cosmopolitan - 3rd floor down the hallway of old records by the pool table; pizza shop has no name, everyone just calls it secret pizza)

Best sandwiches: Carnegie Deli (Mirage)

Best spaghetti and meatballs:  Martorano's (Rio)

Best steak: Craftsteak (MGM)

Best sushi:
•Sen of Japan (Durango Dr. & W Desert Inn Rd.)
•Kabuto (Chinatown)

Best tapas:  Julian Serrano

Best Thai: Lotus of Siam. Also, it's in the same shopping center as a gay massage parlor / health club and the skeeviest swinger's lounge in all of the west. So, bonus for the typical OGer.

All good choices but my favorite steak in Vegas is Hugo's Cellar on Freemont Street inside the Four Queens. Old School steak place with career waiters and zero pretentiousness. It's the kind of place you could easily see Sinatra and Dean Martin getting a drink and a steak after a show. Get the Beef Wellington. As a matter of principle I always do when I see it. It's a dying breed on the American Steakhouse menu.

It's not the best LV has to offer but my ass is lying still like a stuffed pig right now after destroying my insides via the Rio Carnival buffet. Not sure if I'll live or not.
