Politician implied he was black to win election

Dave Wilson is white. But to win a seat on the Houston Community College Board of Trustees in a district that is predominantly composed of African-American voters, Wilson, a conservative Republican, led voters to believe he was black.

According to CBS affiliate KHOU-TV, Wilson's direct mail campaign included a flier with smiling black faces he says he found on the Internet. "Please vote for our friend and neighbor Dave Wilson," the accompanying text read.

In another flier, the text said he had been endorsed by Ron Wilson, a popular black former state representative. But the Ron Wilson who endorsed him was Dave's cousin Ron, not the ex-lawmaker.

"He's a nice cousin," Wilson told the network, chuckling. "We played baseball in high school together."

Steve McQueen directed "Twelve Years a Slave". Do you the the producers should have put a disclaimer on their credits?"Oh ... Not THAT Steve McQueen... because that one is dead."

What's funny is that you keep posting stuff like this over and over here but don't realize this="hey it's not about race man, I've got no issue with black people, I just want to consistantly point out things that make them look bad, that's all" is what we are reading. The amount of black people who voted for Obama has ZERO to do with this story.

How do you know?BOTH CANDIDATES WERE BLACK! One democrat, one republican. You cannot say with certainty that the guy that won did so because people thought he was black, it makes zero sense.Furthermore, knowing black people vote for democrats the vast majority of the time, why would they say "hey there's a black democrat running for re-election, but lets vote in a republican which we never do just because he's also black!"

If you're concerned enough to vote on anything, you best be sure you know what you're voting on.I don't care if you're picking class president in grade 2, think that shit over because little Timmy is actually a girl.

Community college trustee elections are the backbone of our Republic and shouldn't be taken lightly.
