Street fighter gets lesson in humilty from 15 year old in gym

The phenomenon of a street fighter thinking he can take care of himself against a trained fighter is a common one. Also common is the phenomenon of the street fighter receiving an instructional beating.

When UFC 1 debuted, Rorion Gracie used the slight Royce Gracie to demonstrate the effectiveness of BJJ. The same phenomenon is employed in gyms - have a giant administer attitude adjustment is not nearly as effective as having it handled by someone who appears entirely unassuming.

A 20 year old Las Vegas street fighter walked into the TapouT gym and said he wanted to fight. Allias Aguilar, 15, did his duty methodically, and even held back.

There's a term for gassing out and getting your ass kicked. It's called "getting your ass kicked".

Yeah Tito was a California state wrestling champ. No joke. Ever see the abu dhabi of him vs van arsdale? I got it on vhs still! He won all his first ufc matches with a nasty front headlock and knees.

Also, Tank and Tito were training long before they were fighting, despite your romanticized view of the "street brawler turned cage fighter."

The street guy was gassed and that's when the punishment begins. The kid was biding his time, taking no real damage, until that fool was spent. If the coach didn't end it, the kid would have put a clinic on him and he would have been too tired to defend himself. The coach should have let him, imo.

Um, did you watch the same fight?  Brawler landed what now?  And got tagged consistently by a much smaller dude in a sparring session.  I don't think he landed one shot lol

I bet it fueled each kids desire to trane and get better. I loved that part too.
