I am getting this strong smell of burning plastic when I drive...it doesnt seem to be coming from the engine, but from a wheel well. I checked under the car and couldnt see anything that might have attached to it (like a plastic bag). Wondering what it might be. My car is a 2001 Mustang with a manual transmission. 40,000 miles.

Hit any big puddles recently that may have caused a fender liner to deform and touch a tire?

I found out what was causing the smell...a plastic bag had attached to the bottom and was burning off. Thanks!
